A229 Pro Compatible With Dongar Mirror Connector?

I installed my 229 Pro with a Dongar in my Subaru and it works great - I also purchased a short 3" usb cable on
Amazon to hook the Dongar to the camera which allowed me to more easily hide it in the mirror cover. Looks great
and easy to hook up. BUT, it does NOT support Parking Mode, at least not on my Subaru Outback. Rearview
mirrors on most cars are not on active/standby power mode when the car is parked/off.
For now, I like the seamless look and ease of install of the Dongar. If I later decide I need parking mode, I will
install the Viofo power kit.
 
Even if you had a RVM that stayed on while parked, all of Viofo’s parking mode voltage management is in the hardwire cable. This adapter doesn’t have that and so the A229 Pro would have no way to shut itself off to avoid excessive battery drain.

Convenient for a driving only dashcam setup though.
