a329s viofo BTR200 volume button question

Hello,

On a good day I have 20/40 visual acuity and some of the icons are hard to see while operating the A329S dashcam, especially the volume icon.

Is there some way, either by using the existing dashcam software, or by some homebrew hack to long press (3 seconds) the microphone on the BTR200, to revert the dashcam back to recording audio, regardless of what state (muted or unmuted) the dashcam was in prior to hitting the microphone button?

In other words, I want a button on the BTR200 whereas I can turn the volume “ON”, regardless if the volume was “ON” or “OFF” before hitting the button.

Do you have the voice notification volume set on a level where you can easily hear it? The A329S series will provide a spoken notification when you press the associated BTR200 button as to whether you've just toggled the audio recording off or on.

Also, using the voice command "Turn on audio" will provide the fail-safe you want--if it is off, it will turn it on, and if it is already on, it will leave it on. You should also get an audio confirmation that the voice recording has been enabled with this method.
