I just got an A329T and when I'm in the car, the iphone automatically switches to carplay and disconnects from the viofo wifi network. I added the carplay wifi SSID and password to the viofo in wifi station mode and I can verify it's connected, but the viofo app doesn't find the camera.
What is the recommended way to connect to the camera while carplay is connected?

You can’t be connected to the dashcam WiFi and wireless CarPlay at the same time…You need to disconnect from CarPlay to be able to use the App and direct connect to the dashcam…

If your phone is automatically connecting to CarPlay (as it should), temporarily turn off Bluetooth on the phone, either before approaching the car or once your phone has already connected to CarPlay – BT is used as part of the initial connection to wireless CarPlay.
With BT turned off, your phone can connect to the dashcam’s WiFi network and not be interrupted by CarPlay….
Once finished with the Dashcam, turn the phones BT back on, and you should be able to reconnect back to CarPlay as per usual….

There’s a great video from Ben @SafeDriveSolutions on the subject, will post below…

Thank you, I see, that's not so bad. I was hoping though, if there was a way to use the Viofo app while in station mode, that way I can just bring up the app very easily, but there's no place to enter an IP address or anything.

No, I don’t think it’s possible in that way…
In Station Mode the camera will be connecting to a WiFi SSD that you instruct it to but for the App to connect and communicate with the dashcam your device needs to connect to the WiFi SSD that the dashcam is creating…
