Yeh, suction mount reminds me more like from radar detectors, however it has also 3M tape dedicated moutn as well.
Size is not that big if you think that it can actually be hidden behind mirror the way that it does not stick out ( blends with mirror )
 
shame dont have WDR this Spec + good firmware + Good lens would be interested.

yeah I don't know why they made it so big, A7 supports very small form factors, must be very empty inside
 
Maybe they priority was big screen ( 3" ) and around that built a case. And maybe leave emtpy space for cooling down ?, dont know what was on designers mind.
From my research it was world first mass production dash cam with largest aperture F1.6. They came out to market few month earlier than TioTech.
Vacron makes FUHO branded dash cameras which are popular in Russian and most forums reportst this brand being reliable.
 
if they're doing good business in Russia then that's perhaps why the design is as big as it is, there's a lot of people there that prefer the larger form factor, they want you to know they have a camera

You are right. In Russian there are two category people: one who wants you to know you have dash cam, others want to be as discrete as possible.
