Hey Guys, anyone know anything about this 3CH Dashcam? Information seems obscure. Cant tell if it has a Starvis 2.

Starvis 2.
At first glance this appears to be fake / counterfeit / junk.
I beat the bushes, and MiVue is manufactured by Mitac Digital Technology Corporation.
Mitac is a legit business registered in Taiwan; https://fccid.io/P4Q-N594/amp

As far as image sensors it looks like STARVIS 1 for front & interior.
And STARVIS 2 for the rear camera.
I would not touch this thing with a ten foot pole.
For $329 you can do better.
How much is Viofo A329S 3-CH in Australia?
Wow! I just looked $760 AUD.
No wonder you’re looking at MiVue.

The reason why is to find any info. Don't worry, obviously we know VIOFO eats this for breakfast but thought it was interesting.

You could look at the Vantrue N4 Pro S. It's $540AUD on Vantrue's website but may be available locally?

Alternatively, the 70mai T800 is another 4K 3CH dashcam worth a look, currently $482AUD.

I don't know if there are any good 4K 3CH models for $329. Perhaps @Augustus has a recommendation for your region?

3CH isnt necessary in this scenario tbh. But thanks.

2CH ticks the boxes for this person. Interior Camera is not going to be used.

Is the A229 Pro still a good buy in 2026? I am satisfied with mine.
My A229 Pro crapped the bed about a year back and the sensor went completely. Haven't had any issues with A329 or A329T though.

Good old jbhifi hey. Well also being in Australia I wouldn't even bother with them. That MiVue model mentions true 4K and usually when they mention Starvis they mean first generation, so you're talking Imx415 which is already dog years behind now.

You'll either have to stretch your budget and get something like a Vantrue model with Starvis 2, or perhaps DDPAI with some of their models.

Also out of curiosity, the end user said they found this Gnet 2CH Dashcam set for sale $197. Is this E-Waste?

Couldn't find the model.

Never heard of this brand despite their website calling themselves Australia's most trusted brand. Seems like e-waste to me.

Looks like I found the model:

Looks like I found the model:
two possibilities: fake interpolated (i.e. upscaled) 4K, or older first-gen Starvis IMX415 - which sure is 4K but old news at this point

Hmm... If you are going to use Parking Mode, would the A229 Plus be better for that in the Aussie heat?

My A229 Pro was fried. However I was ok with the A329 and A329T so I'd rather go with them. But price point is an issue for some
