I currently have a Blackvue DR650GW-2ch. I want to upgrade to the DR900X-2ch, but does anyone know if the power cable and the rear camera cable are the same? I don't want to run wires again.

Based on the BlackVue helpcenter's compatibility chart: Accessories Compatibility across Different Camera Models

Power Cable:

The power connector in the X series dash cameras was changed to support a 3-wire power connector. It has a different size and connection pattern between the two types. You will need to use the power cabling supplied with the DR900X-2CH dash camera.

CL = Cigarette Power Cables
CH = Hardwiring Power Cables

DR900X-2CH - CL-3P1 / CH-3P1 - DC Plug Ø3.5 x Ø1.1mm
DR650GW-2CH - CL-2P / CH-2P - DC Plug Ø3.5 x Ø1.35mm

Coaxial Video Cable:

Several BlackVue dashcams use the same rear camera video cable CC-6 (6m/19.68ft) including the two dash cameras you mentioned. You should be able to reuse the rear camera coaxial video cable.

The dash cameras listed that use the CC-6 cable are:

DR900X-2CH Plus
DR900X-2CH
DR750X-2CH
DR750-2CH LTE
DR900S-2CH
DR750S-2CH
DR650S-2CH
DR650GW-2CH
DR430-2CH
DR470-2CH
DR750X-2CH PLUS

Thanks for that link. So the x-series has the PMP built in.
Running the power wire isn't as bad as the rear camera wire.
Thanks again.

Correct, the current BlackVue hardwire kit for X series no longer require a module like the PMP. Voltage monitoring, cutoffs, etc. are all done via the smartphone app or desktop viewer.

I finally got around to upgrading, not because I wanted to but because the image sensor on the DR650 died. Purple fringing everywhere and sometimes the whole screen is just purple.

Removed the PMP and ran the included the hardware kit. Crimped on a 2 pin connector at the fuse block.

Lookin like a clean install!

I have a hardwired 2ch Thinkware F770. Are there any Blackvue cameras that use the same cables as that do you know? I'm more worried about re running the rear camera cable than the power cable.

Unfortunately, the cables for BlackVue are fully proprietary, BlackVue cameras won't work with your Thinkware wiring. Thinkware systems have come a fair way since the F770 with many different improvements, though the only Thinkware system I'd recommend that will use the same rear cable is the U1000, the power wiring will work with all of em.

I can say that other brands like FineVu, and IRoad do also use the same power cabling as Thinkware, if that helps.

I'm running a F770 in one of my other cars. If you want to upgrade, look into the U1000. I've installed 2 of these systems for family and they work well.
