Are Western Digital Purple Memory cards still rated high? 1TB card recommendation?

Just acquired a Blackvue Elite 9 which takes up to 1TB cards and I always like to have as much memory on board as possible.. I do have some WD Purple cards that I've had stored away, just wondering if they are still considered top notch cards?

Is there another brand that's proven for Dashcam use, IE, tons of heat, writing, etc?

I've heard that VIOFO cards are really good, just have never tried them.

The QD101 branded cards are not the same as the old purple cards, as i recall they are slower.
I have yet to add one of these to my test suite as i have found other cards more interesting.

But the old purple card i have, actually the very first 256Gb card i got, it is still doing strong, though one must also say it is not in permanent use as it is part of a 15 card collection at the moment and i test to a bit more than full and then move on to the next card.

Nooooo wait a moment i am old guying in here, i have taken out the old purple card of my collection as it have not been for sale for a long time, i use it in my 4K / 60 action camera.

What I paid for my 1TB last year, will only buy a 512GB this year. Fortunately, I have about 10 SDXC floating around as backups.
