Asdome m300 only records when app is open

Hi guys,

I recently bought an Azdome m300s and am wondering why it only seems to record if I have the app open, click the live view and manually tap record, or say OPEN RECORDING aloud, also it doesn’t seem to stop recording when my enginge is off but only if i hit stop recording via the app. How can I record without always opening the app everytime i set out to drive?

Hey mate.
I had this problem before when I first bought it.
You need to format the SD card while it's inside the camera.
To do this:
Turn on car (so device powers up) Hold WIFI button for 10 secs -> let go off Wifi button -> then the device will format itself (it will take a few seconds and it will then say format successful).
After this, you won't need to go into the app and tap record.
