WHAT’S NEW:​

Version 1.005 (2024-08-12):

1. Added the ability to maintain Internet connectivity on users' mobile devices while connected to the dash cam over Wi-Fi with the BlackVue App.
2. Fixed an issue where the dash cam would intermittently enter/exit Parking Mode when the vehicle's ignition is off.

Added “Delete Video” feature, allowing you to delete recorded files stored on the SD card while the dashcam is operating.

Mods, Any reason BlackVue Box series doesn't have its own sub ? I mean, VIOFO futures A329+ has its own sub but nothing for the 970X Box series?

Because there isn't much interest.

As you can tell from this sub for the whole service of models has very little activity.

Back in November 2023, I asked @DashCamMan to create the "BlackVue > DR970X Plus Series" forum. The reason I asked for only one forum to be created for the series is that there are many DR970X Plus dash cameras with slightly different sub-models that it seemed more logical [to me] to place them into a single forum so the various DR970X Plus series issues/problems can be viewed in a common area.

Has anyone had any murmurings on the v2.x firmware coming for the 970 Box…?
I’ve reached out BlackVue direct as well as regional support but getting no info at all….One dealer told me he believed it was in the works and currently being tested, arriving later as it wasn’t the most popular model, but then since now says all is quiet….

Just wondering if there’s any possible hardware reason for the v2 firmware not being an option on the Box and hence why BV haven’t released it..?….Though I believed/presumed it was all the same re chipset, processors etc as the ‘standard’ models…?

I’ve been wanting to pull the trigger on the 970 Box as there’s just nothing else like it re form factor, small cameras, degree of heat resistance etc….But I find myself holding off due to the lack of HDR etc….
(Other hesitations include lack of CPL options and no 3-Channel, but that’s a different story..!)
