BV 400HD Shutter problem

+First of all Hi everyone first post, just found this place and there is a lot of good info and work being done here

I've had my BlackVue for almost 2 years now, always had very good quality and always been happy with the results , i use it for traffic but also to record my off road expeditions. But lately i have been having shutter problems. The camera keeps going back and forth between light and dark scenes even when the light isn't changing that much. I have moved it around on my windshield, could this be it ? Is the camera that sensible to incoming light ? Or is it getting tired ?

the Blackvue is known to struggle in situations when there is rapidly changing contrast, like when driving along a road and there's a lot of trees that filter light intermittently, you may notice this more when off the beaten track depending on the surrounds, it's a common complaint

By all reports I'd say the 500 is worse for this
