I only noticed because the camera stopped giving voice messages (“Parking mode off”, etc.), because all 3 LEDs (REC/GPS/ACC) were on!

The manual recording button did not work, neither did Wi-Fi.

If I switched the camera off, it would immediately switch itself back on again.

Unplugging it completely from power did not help either. - It also seems the camera does not have a reset button...???

I then checked the footage.
It correctly stored the last image, then simply stopped working during a drive (so the last file was not corrupt).

The SD card was full, but of course the camera should automatically overwrite older footage.

I formatted the card with the PC software, and when I put it back into the camera, the camera formatted it again automatically.

After that, the camera started working again.

I'm on the latest firmware, updated about a week ago.

Has anyone had similar issues?

The only reason I had the sound enabled was because the camera is fairly new and I wanted to make sure everything was working properly.

If the sound had been off, I probably never would have noticed the camera had stopped working.

This absolutely makes me lose faith in it.

That sounds like an SD card issue. Possible corrupt card, comparability issue - or just a one off glitch.

What card are you using?

sandisk extreme 512gb, so this should be ok ?

i have the same in my SECOND elite 10 which i use as rear cam
(the 2 rear cams from both units are on the sides of my car)

That is a compatible card, but any card can cause random issues with dashcams.

Try swapping the two cards between your two cameras and see if the issue switches to the other camera - which will identify it being the card.
If the issue stays on the same camera with the swapped card, then it's a camera issue.
