My installer insists that he can add the Blackvue B124E expansion battery to the Blackvue B130X even though the B130X has no outlet for an expansion battery. I can not find anything that shows this can be done. Has anyone heard of this? I tried to explain to him multiple times that the B130X does not have the expansion outlet to plug in to. His response is the same that it has the "DC in outlet". Is there a work around that any one knows about?

I Thank you and appreciate this.

I suppose he tried it, and while it might work, it won’t look as sleek. The DC input is designed for a cigarette plug or a HW to XT60 cable, but most power sourcees should be compatible as well, like a simple power bank or a large power station using a USB or cigarette to XT60 cable. However, that’s the limit; you can only connect one unless you use DC splitter cables, which compromises the streamlined design and probably some functionality as it will most likely not work as designed.

Thank you for the response. What would be the functionality limitations that would be effected? And also can the 124E be hardwired first with one of the expansion outlets then expansion outlet to DC in on the 130X? Or is that not even possible? I Appreciate any input I am new to this and just want it to work right for the amount spent on the whole thing.

I would imagine it would cause balancing issues. I guess as long as he will make the situation right if it doesn't work, it's fine!
