I currently have 2 Blackvue B-124's, one for my wife's car, one for mine, and I was wondering if I could link them together via the link port for times when I would want the 2 battery capacity (such as parking at an airport, for example).

If appears that you can link the spares in any wiring config in or out on both ports, so why couldn't you use the link port and just power from one unit?

I'll update this since no one responded.. I contacted Blackvue, and they insist that linking two B-124's (non E's) will not work. This is very unfortunate given the cost of these units.

I'm not sure why the expansion battery unit is only $20 cheaper also given that it doesn't have all the extras built in, seems overpriced (and you could argue that the full unit is overpriced at $279 for starters).
