Car DVR with separate camera

Hi guys
Does anyone know of a good quality unit/camera that is separate from the actual processing/recording unit?
I am looking for a camera, that can be mounted just under the ceiling trim so it sits on the very top of the window and not have something that sticks out 10cm with flashing lights in the middle of the windscreen.

Hi Sergey,

There are many mobile DVRs that do this but the quality is SD (480p) not HD. There is one HD Korean camera that somewhat meets your needs. It is the Lukas LK-7300G. Unfortunately all the support appears to be in Korean, not English.

Thanks. Yeah, I have seen this cam...$299 on eBay.
A bit pricey for 2MP camera...Or is it similar to FineVu Sony one? Any other suggestions? What about a separate camera (like in LK-7300G) only?

Hi SergeyAU,

2MP is fine. Most of the Korean cameras have a 2MP sensor and outperform many of the 5MP Chinese models. Unfortunately there isn't much selection for cameras with a separate DVR.
