Hello,

I recently had a new 770X fitted and I am happy with it apart from one issue.

It's great that I can watch playback footage in my home from my phone without having my car ignition on but some days I'm getting a message that I cannot access cloud because I'm currently disconnected and would I like to connect through WiFi.

When I press OK it says that camera connection has failed. So I'm not connected to cloud or WiFi unless I go into my car and turn the ignition on.

The strange thing is some days it works perfectly and it seems to go off on alternate days.

Any advice on what I'm doing wrong. Thanks

How do you have the camera powered?
It sounds like the camera is going to sleep/powering down either when your ignition is off, or shortly after.

Is has been fitted with the hardwire kit. I don't know how long after the ignition is off that the camera is awake.

Either the camera is turning off after a certain period of time - or it is switching to parking mode, which, depending on your settings turns off WiFi and data connection to save energy.

Hardwire kits are generally used to run off your car battery, but only pull a small power drain to not drain your car battery, or to shut off when it drops too low.

Cloud/LTE and WiFi usually turn off in certain parking modes to preserve energy.

You are correct Dan. I've just sat in my car, turned the engine on, came back in the house and I can view my video's on the app. I'll have to see how long for.

I do have parking mode which is on audibly as soon as I turn the ignition off
