Hi,
Planning to buy a Vantrue N5 and hardwire it.
I was thinking to just plug it into a powerbank and connect the powerbank to the USB socket in the car so the powerbank gets charged during driving.
This idea has 1 flaw, there is no "turn on"signal which I would get if the hardwire kit gets connected to the fusebox in the car.
Is there a way to fix this?
thinking to hardwire the ground and ACC 12V and then connect the 12V constant power to a powerbank.
The powerbank is 5V so I should get the wire that comes out of the junction box of the wiring harness and it's only one wire, so would still need to connect the ground/null signal of the powerbank to the ground of the car.
would that work...
reason why, my car is sometimes parked for a week or weeks and hardwire completely would drain my cars battery. Using the powerbank option, then I always have the option to unplug the powerbank for long parking days..
Thanks
