Considering swapping back to Lipo Battery, loosing last second of recording

I am still having issues with my modius, not catching the last second or 2 when my engine is shut down. I only started having this issue once I installed the Supercapaitor. Is there a chance that my supercapistor is faulty? It does keep time, for several days. and saves the last clip, it just clips the last second or 2 off the end.

How does cold weather effect the Lipos? It has now cooled off here in Ohio and if the battery will hold up in colder weather just fine, i may just swap it back, until next summer.
