Why are Dashcam Australia prices so high, most of their products can be bought overseas for at least 70% of there price.

Hi FatPanda,

Unfortunately, in Australia, as you know, we have import duty tax for items coming into the country ( over $1000, which our shipments are that x10 at a tax rate of over 10% )

As well as this, we have incorporated the 10%GST into the price and we put money into it as all up shipping costs $22.5 With tracking and signature but we only charge a Flat rate of $10.

We are proud to state that we are the CHEAPEST DashCam seller of these products in Australia and are on par with Authorised sellers overseas with this particular product.

Overseas sellers of this particular DashCam charge very similar amounts in USD ( not AUD) and we also give away a free 16g micro SD card with the WF1 valued at $20.95.

When shopping with DashCams Australia, you can be sure you are getting an Original English Version, 100% Australian Warranty and 100% Australian support ( Unlike other overseas ebay sellers in which there is VERY limited/NO support and if you do need to send something back, you would need to pay more than $60AUD for shipping with tracking and signature to get it back to them AND wait around 1 - 2 months as stated in stories on DashCamTalk. )

If you actually compare our prices to other Australian DashCam Stores, we are actually cheaper then all of them. Compared with Overseas- We are on Par if not cheaper for the authorised versions.

If it makes you feel any better I believe Tax is also the reason they do not sale any Utes in the USA from a dealer.
The light truck tax puts something like a %10 Tax on any pick up truck or Ute.
