This is certainly a good suggestion, thanks. Given the anonymous nature of the streaming, I assume most drivers won't be too concerned of privacy issues on some random road. But, privacy would be perceived differently in important areas for the driver.

while it may be anonymous (i assume there's no ID or name associated with a vehicle's dot on the map) the potential for abuse by stalkers or other criminals is unfortunately present. i figure a quarter km radius lets you get far enough from home (in most urban cases) so that your dot could be just about anyone, and helps ensure your anonymity. plus, data that close to someone's house probably isn't going to be useful anyway.
