Since purchasing the DDPAI Z60 Pro dashcam, I’ve been experiencing persistent issues that I haven’t been able to resolve. I’ve already updated the firmware, but the problem continues.

The camera is connected via OBD using the official DDPAI cable, and I’m currently using only the front camera with the 128GB SD card that came with the device. (sd card from ddpai)

The issue is that the dashcam starts recording normally, but after a few minutes it stops unexpectedly. In some cases, it can record for up to an hour before suddenly shutting off. After a few minutes, it powers back on by itself. At other times, it stops recording and switches to parking mode even while I’m driving at highway speeds (around 100 km/h).

Overall, it has never worked reliably, and it’s becoming quite frustrating. Has anyone experienced something similar or found a solution?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello. Based on your description, we think this issue is caused by an ACC recognition abnormality due to incompatibility between the OBD connection and your vehicle model.

We recommend switching the power supply from the OBD cable to the fuse box hardwire kit for more stable operation.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I understand your recommendation to switch to a fuse box hardwire kit, however this is not a viable option in my case. My vehicle is currently under warranty, and I have specifically consulted with the manufacturer, who confirmed that any hardwiring through the fuse box would void the warranty. I therefore need to keep using the OBD connection.

Could you please advise on any alternative solutions to address the ACC recognition issue? For example:
- A firmware or software update that could improve OBD compatibility
- Specific dashcam settings that might help stabilize the connection

I also want to flag some additional context that may be relevant: the problems began last August during an 8-hour trip in extreme heat conditions — approximately 40°C outside temperature. I specifically chose this dashcam because its listed specifications indicated it could handle high temperatures, which is a key requirement given the climate in my city. The device started failing after several hours under those conditions, which leads me to wonder whether it sustained heat-related damage at that time, rather than this being purely a compatibility issue with the OBD connection.

I'd appreciate your assessment of whether this could be a hardware problem, and what the best course of action would be in that case.

Thank you for your support.

Additionally, I have a second issue to report: the GPS icon never connects and is constantly blinking. It has never worked properly since the problem started.
