You are not using a Vantrue Brand SD Card. Also, Vantrue has offered to work with you in order to help resolve the problem.

you dont need to use their SD card, when i purchased the camera i was told you can use Sandisk SD Card,,in any case this has nothing to do with the SD card, the unit is broken.

Testing Vantrue cameras as i recall it have not outright refused to work with any of my 15 cards, but there was some where it would ask for a format ever so often, so i did call those cards failed.

In case of the E1 PRO.

Adata high endurance. - black red - OK
PNY XLR8. white red - OK
Kingston Canvas Go plus. - black blue - OK
Lexar professional. grey - Black - OK
Adata Premier pro. black green - not OK ( camera ask for format now and then )
Sandisk extreme pro. Black -red - OK
Sandisk extreme plus. gold red - OK
Samsung Pro Plus - Blue - OK
Trancend Ultra performance - black silver - OK
Samsung PRO ultimate. Black - OK
PNY PRO Elite. - grey black - OK
Samsung EVO Plus U3 - white - NOT OK ( formatting in camera fail )
Kingston canvas select plus. Black - OK
WD purple.( old non QD101 ) - OK

Correction i see the white Samsung EVO plus would not go thru initial format in the system.

I tested Sandisk High Endurance and Sandisk Extreme Pro cards and they DID NOT work well with the camera. Random freezing issues.

Should I be worried?

I plan on buying two E1 Pro dash cams for front and rear. However, I'll be using two Vantrue 256GB micro SD cards and dissembling both units to improve on cooling (warranty voided).

Should I be worried?
Nope, I wouldn’t be. Quite a few people here have been using Vantrue cameras for years. The E1 Pro is just about one year old (as a model) and mine has been through searing heat (measured 80c) and subzero cold. Still running strong without any hiccups. I have a mix of Vantrue, Viofo, and SanDisk Extreme SD cards. Each has held up well.

I'm late to this thread and hoping the OP @rcglider got resolution to his problem of the camera rebooting.

I couldn't help but notice in the video it was being powered in a similar manner as when I was experiencing an N4S power cycle issue which only happened when I was powering with a phone charger connected to the DC input of the camera. Were all three cameras behaving the same way with power cycling?

My problem completely went away when using the N4S 12V CLA adapter which led me to the conclusion that the voltage supply was inadequate and it was not a camera issue.
I assume the OP was experiencing these problems with multiple cameras in the car as well as with the computer or external charger shown in the video.

Posts below are from a thread where I documented the problem, but it was not with the camera.
