Does the ITB-100HD use battery not in parking mode?

I got my ITB-100HD after 3 weeks today.

When I turn off the car with it still plugged in, the power light turns off and makes a very feint ring even after it saved the last file.
Is this normal? Is it using the battery when its doing this?

Thanks

Are there more than the 3 final beeps (high-med-low pitch)?
If not, then I wouldn't worry about it as that is the normal shutdown sequence. Since the camera does this when the power is disconnected, it is obviously running on the charge of an internal capacitor.
If these beeps continue after the shutdown beeps, then you should investigate this further.
BTW, I have my camera always on (parking mode) and initially I had the sensitivity on high and it rained the whole day so the camera was recording all day while I was at work. There was no noticeable effect on my car's battery.

It does the 3 beeps to notify that its shutting down. Its just a little buzz/ringing afterwards that's barely noticeable, but it could be the internal capacitor like you mentioned.

I know that the power is disconnected when I shut off my car since I tested this with my phone charger when the car is on/off.

Hi b_ron,

Sounds like it is working fine, assuming the buzzing / ringing noise stops.
