Dongar Mirror Power Tap

I have a 2021 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring and a Vantrue NX2 cam. I purchased the Dongar 10 Pin type e for the vehicle. Installed it and it powers up the cam for 60 secs and restarts and contintues this cycle. If I hit the button to stop recording it continues without restarting but I'm not recording. I have a dongar unit with the same setup and same cam in my '25 Honda and it works fine. Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on this?

I am not familiar with the NX2, but please double-check the Dongar and ensure your 10-pin connector has the correct wiring for your specific model or year. There have been occasions where differences occurred within the same year. You will need to look at the wiring on the RV mirror and make sure that the pinout matches your Dongar. If you are uncertain, send a photo to Dongar.

I like Dongar adapters. I use them; they are a great way to power a dashcam.

Thanks. I have sent Dongar an email about this. I figure there’s something in the mirror electronics that is causing this just not sure why they would have something “pulse” on it.

My experience with Dongar is that they have been very responsive to my needs. Usually, I would receive a response from them within 24 hours. I would be interested to know
how this resolves, so please keep us posted.

I reached out to Dongar and they responded within a few hours. They are sending me another unit but since I had rec'd a refund from Amazon I had to purchase the replacement. I asked for a break on the price for my trouble. They waived the shipping (same price as i would have paid on Amazon) however no tax which was a plus. if this doesn't work I will post.
