DR970X Plus - Things to watch out for and check

Just got my new DR970X Plus (2CH) and I was wondering if there are anything I should watch out for.
Its not in the car yet, I just have set it up initially using a 240V -> Cig socket adapter.

If it has an electrostatic clear sheet for when you mount it, it makes removing it easier. Some cams come with it.
