Dual Dash 2K Dash Cam VD009 Firmware

I'm attempting to update the firmware on my VA-VD009. I have V 1.1 and I see there is 1.3. The bin file would not download on their site with the link they have here: >>Click for Link<< However, I was able to get it down the page here: >>Click Link<<

I've tried a number of ways to get it to recognize the BIN file using the instructions below but nothing seems to work. I'm sure the files on on the root. Has anyone had any success with this?

Firmware Update Instructions​

1. Download the firmware
2. Insert the Micro SD card into a PC, then copy the firmware file into the SD card root
3. Insert the card back into the Dash Cam, and power it on.
4. A dialog pops up to confirm Firmware Upgrade automatically. Press OK to start upgrading

Notes:

• The firmware file must be copied in the SD card root directory
• Do not power off the Dash Cam during the upgrade
• Please ensure there is enough power during this process
• The Dash Cam will restart automatically after upgrading
• Do not remove the card during the upgrade

I've emailed support about not being able to download from their page I haven't heard back yet.

And sorry for the late reply.

I am not familiar with this brand.

If you have download previous firmwares and if they might carry the same name, well a new download will be named something like firmware.bin(1) if you have other copies lying in the DL directory, and if the file get such a suffix ( 1 ) it will not work.

I have also at times had problems updating from larger memory cards, so i prefer to use a older 32 - 16 - 8 - 4 Gb card for things like that.
CUZ on a larger memory card the firmware file just seem to get ignored even if it is a completely empty memory card.
