E-Prance 0803 (Playback issues, freezes)

Hi I purchased an E-Prance small dashcam model 0803. However when playing back videos they tend to freeze, Windows media player won't run them at all and VLC will run them but it will eventually freeze not sure if this is a firmware bug..?

Software version is: FW20140507 V1.0

Are you doing a playback:
- directly from dashcam connected to PC,
- via SD card reader,
- or first copying files to PC hard drive and only then doing a playback ?

If you are using highest resolution then Windows media player probably needs updated/additional codecs, should work fine at other resolutions though?
Unlikely to be a problem with the camera.

1. copy video files to PC hard drive.
2. close all programs that are using huge volume of your PC video card resources ( photo / video editing software, etc ).
3. play files from PC hard drive.

VLC, KMPlayer is what I use, or also I recommend to download Registrator Viewer and try playback there. Very good program.

I got registrator viewer same issue. But I did copy files to HDD and now WMP, VLC and RV all seem to play it perfectly, I am guessing read speed on sd card is slow. Before I disappear anyone got any recommended settings for this camera?

I got registrator viewer same issue.

Try setting in the Registrator Viewer menu: Playback/Renderer/VMR
That sorted it on my computer, although it still plays a bit jumpy sometimes.
