I have an Elite 9 and even decided to pay for cloud service, but this thing is a resetting MESS of a dash cam! I have tried multiple power cords, power sources, etc., and sometimes it will run OK but it always ends up resetting. Sometimes it just boots up and just continuously re-boots over and over and over.

Today I tried some troubleshooting and it booted up and started recording, but as soon as I plugged in the rear camera the Elite 9 went into a reset loop again. It does not appear to like the rear camera being plugged in, but it WILL reset over and over without it!

Has anyone else had this problem? For $500 plus and paying for cloud services, I'm about ready to scream. This thing has also left me without camera coverage while driving which is unacceptable.

It sounds like you may have an SD card issue. That can cause resetting and boot loop issues.
You've possibly got an incompatible SD card or a failing SD card.

Try using the supplied BlackVue SD card (although it's usually a small 64GB one as standard).
That will determine if it's your camera or the SD card.

That is what BlackVue support would ask you to do
Once you've determined that, you can look to do a warranty exchange.

I am using a brand new VIOFO 512gb card, which is made to take this kind of thing.

These cards are $140, would really be interesting to think this is the problem... but I'l try another card and keep fighting this thing

The card you have may be a good card, but not fully compatible with BlackVue.
Different manufacturer have different compatibility requirements, which is why they make their own cards too.
The smaller the capacity the card, the better the compatibility is.
512GB is the maximum approved card size for the BlackVue, so using a different brand card with such a high capacity risks the most comparability issues.

Manufacturers do give recommendations for compatible third party cards, but these also vary depending on storage size
For example a SanDisk Endurance may be fully compatible with one storage size option, but only partially compatible or not compatible with higher capacity card using the same brand and model card.

See other threads;

Beside the default Blackvue 64GB microSD that comes with the package, I have tried the following (from Amazon) with Elite 9 and working fine:

MMOMENT microSD 256GB U3 V30 A1 (P/N: A1V30256GB)
LEXAR microSD 1TB U3 V30 A2 (P/N: LMSPLAY001T-BNNNU)

Seems like A1 is sufficient.

Thanks
