Error 256 => no live image

I've been getting an error for some time now when I want to view the live image. Recording works perfectly. Just a live image doesn't work.
Is this a known problem? Is there a solution?

Make sure the app version and the camera firmware version are latest one. Then confirm if there is a Carplay in your car or a VPN on your phone, turn them off to have a try.

Is there a how-to for the firmware update?

1. Format the card to FAT32 first by this tool on your PC before downloading the firmware file: https://viofo.com/download/guiformat.exe (do not tick quick format)
2. Download the firmware file to your PC from this link: https://viofo.com/content/35-viofo-a139-dash-cam-support/?
3. Make sure not to change the file name when copying and pasting it to the root of your card.
4. Insert the card with the bin file back into the camera and supply power to it.
5. Wait for a while and the camera will turn on automatically after the update.
