With my daily city driving I get around 25% of my files flagged as event files. And this is on the insensitive setting.
I've been thinking of turning off the event detection completely. If I do get into any sort of collision, then even with the included 8gb card there is plenty of time to take out the card and copy the relevant files. And at least the sequential filenames will be consistent, with rec_* instead of a mixed assortment of rec_* and evt_* files.
I suppose events would be useful for videos recorded during parking mode, but my unit is powered through the cigarette lighter, so parking mode options are not applicable to me.
Has anyone else turned off the events?
