Flashing Blue Security LED

Hi All.

What are your thoughts about having the blue security led on the front camera flashing or not?

Does the flashing led discourage car theft or does it tell thieves that there's an expensive camera to steal?

At present, I've set mine to off.

I've had this debate,
With the light on you could say that its a deterrent, or could it attract a thief that knows he could steal it along with the evidence, if they don't know that its an all in one they may assume that the data is held somewhere else in the car or live streamed and held?

Also if your involved in a situation with an accident, if the offender sees it could they attempt to take it?

If your pulled for speeding would it be unwise for them to see that you have a camera?
