Flashing REC LED

I’m getting a flashing REC LED light on my A129 DUO.

I presume it’s the SD, and I’ve formatted again after connecting via app, but I noticed this morning it’s flashing again (so presume not recording either).

Had the SD a while (years) in it, do you think it’s just EOL now and I should order a new one? (Any recommendations for a dash can type that’s used to record over and over again).

I’m still on firmware v1.9 as read a lot about problems of firmware after this. Is that still the case? Or should I upgrade now to the latest?

No all the time. It’s hardwired with official kit. I use the low bitrate parking mode.

Manual just states REC flashing is “not recording” or updating firmware which I’m not.

Likely a card issue. What card are you using?

I would format with SDFormatter. Perform the full overwrite, not the quick format. After SDFornatter, place back in the camera and format again in the camera.

Well after formatting and messing switching off on it seems to have settled down…?….

I’m still in v1.9 firmware as well. Read about numerous problems, even the fact that Viofo can’t even label certain numbers properly. So should I just stay on v1.9? I’m not sure what latest is and what, since v1.9, has updated/fixed/added.

I’ve just kept off newer firmware by looking on here that’s all.

Not sure what extra and the confusion by Viofo over numbering I can’t believe.
