Front camera only records audio? Broken Unit?

Hello everyone,
I've had the 650GW for a little over a year now (of course, right after warranty) and the front camera all of a sudden only records audio now. This is for both recorded clips AND live view. All I see is a black screen with all the dashcam info on the bottom. Audio is loud and clear. Rear camera is fine for both. This started happening about 2 days ago. The weather has been a steady 40 degree F so I know temp isnt a problem. I've tried power cycling and it doesnt fix it.

Am I out of luck?? :( :(
 
you could try reinstalling the firmware, if still no go then it's likely a hardware issue then I suspect
 
ughhhh as you said, its a hardware issue. I reinstalled firmware and results are the same. blackvue said to send them logs from the SD card... gonna see how much repairs are now that I know its not software related. :(
