I have a VW Transporter t6.1 and I have the cable that plugs into the hard wired front camera run under the roof panel. It's too short to reach the rear camera. I've used 2 different length extension connecting cable in between and camera doesn't work.
I crossed the original cable over to camera it works great. The cable needs to be inside tail gate panel so it still needs a an extension.
It's a 5 pin connection. So are the cables bought on Amazon cheap rubbish or won't the current reach the camera by extending cable in between?
Maybe I need to purchase one extended length cable that plugs into front camera and straight into rear camera? Feedback gratefully appreciated.
