G1W Loop Question

How does the G1W actually loop? Does it overwrite the file every x minutes? Or are multiple files saved until the sd card is full? I only ask as I'm new to all this and planning on buying a G1W as I think its >>> a DVR 207 but my drives are longer than 10 minutes which is the max loop/cycle time. I need to record at least an hour to really make use of this the way I want to... My helmet cam for instance records its .mov until the file size is 4Gb then creates another seamlessly. Is this similar?
 
Hi in the setup it should have an option for loop time. if you say set to 3 minutes it should create a new file every 3 minutes that it is recording when sd card is full it then overwrites the oldest file. The number of files you can record and keep will depend on size of sd card.
