Git2 Newbie questions

Got a few queries regarding the Git 2, hopefully someone can help 😀

1) Currently using 1080p 60fps with gyro on and i find that the battery gauge depletes quite quickly. With about 8-10mins recording i find ive got 2 bars left in the battery indicator. Is this normal as i thought i read somewhere that i should get about 50-60 mins recording at 1080p. Or the battery levels are really not 25% segments and it will last much longer with 2 bars left? If this is normal then when i plan to take the git 2 on holiday, i need to carry a lot of batteries.

2)I've read that indoor footage isn't meant to be great so is this why i see blocky unsharp video?

3)Is there a way to look at the exif data to see if gryo was turned on or not?

4) I tried using finalcam app on my phone and could not find a way to stop recording, anyone know how to remotely stop recording ?

5)Using final cam to download my videos is so slow, i thought it be quick with wifi connection, but the Git2 just switches off after a few mins. Doesn't it know its been used and not to auto power off?

6) I've found the mic can't pickup a conversation when filming in the waterproof housing, even set it to high for sensitivity. Is that normal? I've tried it without the housing and found the voice recording to be quite quiet too. do i have a faulty internal mic?

7) just brought a micro HDMI adapter to fit onto my HDMI cable and I dont get to see any display on my tv. Is there something i'missing? do i need to enable a setting on the Git2?

3. I dont think so.
4. try to use FN Cam
5. increase auto power off
6. is normal, you can easy check the mic, if without waterproof case can hear what you record
7. try on another TV, or start TV after camera or camera after switching TV to HDMI in. No need to enable anything on camera. I hope your cable to be good.

Do you know if there is a big difference in battery between 1080p 60fps and 1080p 30fps?

I'm hopping that I've made the right decision as the price and especially the anti shake is what sold me. I be taking this to Orlando in August so hopefully will be more than enough light compared to the not so sunny England.

Yes, there is a big difference, but if you keep the wifi off then you should get 90 minutes from 1080p60.

If you are going to be recording for longer than that then consider connecting it to a USB power bank.

Ugh, Orlando in August? Bring a few gallons of sun block, and something to carry lots of water... You'll need it!

Wi-Fi had been off, just left everything in auto and gyro on, but only managing about 50ish mind with 1080p60. Will charge up the battery again and test again, but this time keep shooting a wall or something instead of taking it out.

Lol, I'm not looking forward to it I hate the heat. But it's something for the missus and kids. Hopefully the git2 will get some good videos when we are at the water parks. As I don't thing it's worth getting a hero at 3 times the price of the git2

If you're interested in water parks, you might look into the original schlitterbahn in new braunfels, Texas. It's HUGE, and the main, original section doesn't use chlorinated water - they pull water from the adjacent Comal river, which is usually very cold as it's being released from the bottom of a dam a short distance upriver. They're also the first waterpark in the world to have an uphill water slide.
