Recording, charge, power on.

• Charge = charge the battery, then turn off.
• Record = power on and start recording (dashcam mode)
• Power On = power on and stay in standby. (Maybe useful for aeroplanes where you start and stop recording/photos via the aircraft remote control.)

I never needed this option. I just want to plug into a power bank to keep it always charged while on motorcycle. What setting do I use?

Those 3 options support charge the camera. If you want to power on the camera and start recording, you can choose "Record".
