Grainy footage?

Hey guys, I have the Blackvue 650 model front and rear running at 1080 30 and 720 30 respectively at the highest quality setting. The footage seems pretty grainy to me. especially compared to other footage I've seen online coming from the same model camera. Are other people having this same issue? Can someone give me some insight?

They are about 60 mb a piece

looks pretty much as you'd expect it to, bitrate isn't that high so there's a limit to what it can do, aiming the camera down a bit will help with the auto exposure as well

Definitely aim the camera lower.

Thank you for your responses. How far should I aim the camera down? Is there a rule of thumb?

40% above the horizon, 60% below, yes you'll see more of the hood of your car but the auto exposure won't get blown out by too much sky

That looks pretty bad. I bought the same dash cam. I think I should have purchase the DR550 instead. I had the DR500 and it was perfect.

Screen grab from my 500.... Looks a lot clearer than my current 650...
