Gs1000 record overwrite, what is each setting

I was wondering how the time you select affects the record overwrite feature. If i set it to 15min, does this mean it will record over 15min of old footage?

15 minutes would be the size of each recording, when it overwrites a file it will overwrite the oldest non protected file, (first in, first out)

The camera wont stop recording after 15min though correct? It will keep going making 15 min clips?

that's right, 15 mins is just a split point, file handling is much easier if the recording is split, it's similar to how chapters work on a DVD, you watch a movie straight through but having chapters makes it easier to navigate to where you want
