GS900 and motion detection issues

Hi everyone! Sorry if this question was already posted - I searched but didnt find anything dealing with this problem

I just bought a GS900 (with built in GPS, G-sensor and motion detection). I left motion detection on and it works great.

The problem is - when I'm driving and coming to a stop (traffic light, for example) and sit still for some time, the camera shuts off and only starts recording again a few seconds after I start moving. I'm guessing this problem will go away if I turn motion detection off, but is there a way to keep both - have motion detection available to me to in case something happens when the car is parked and I'm not there, yet still have uninterrupted video when the engine is running?

if the motion detect timeout value is made longer it minimizes this problem, it can still happen when there are extended periods of minimal activity, bit of a balance to try and get it right, it's a firmware issue though, not something you can adjust yourself

newer chipsets use some different methods and can handle this better
