Is their a place to buy a hard wire kit for my Mobius? Just received it and want to hard wire it to my Goldwing motorcycle.

I ordered a hard wire kit from Amazon. Also a 64 gig card and the Super Capacitor. I hope it will hold up in the Texas heat.

It should hold up OK with the cap's in it. I just got around to ordering those for mine. Be sure to set up for "exFat" type files unless you reformat the card; default setting is "Fat32". I'd also add a 'safety string' or add security to the mounting system on any bike. The mount is robust, but there's no car floor underneath to catch it if things go wrong. Also beware the dreaded 'bug-splat' and mount it behind the fairing if you can.

Mobius seems to be the most popular 'economy' cam for bikes and as far as I know it has no special issues related to them. Were I to take up riding again it's the cam I'd choose.

Thanks for the reply Phil. I went for a couple hour ride today and it was 100 degrees. Mobius didn't get hot but when I got home I see I didn't have it turned on. Its mounted upside down on the bottom of my mirror. I'll try it again but am thinking about a lens cover. Maybe a polarized lens if such a thing is made for it. I'm not sure what the advantage of the different video modes?

A CPL (circular polarized lenscover) will both protect the lens and help with daytime glare- it's cheaper to replace when a rock or bug does a kamikaze dive into the Mobius too. The newest "C2" lens has a smaller O.D. and the original "A" lens is sort of recessed so be sure to get a CPL made for the specific lens you've got.

The two Video modes just make it simpler to change the settings it affects with button pushes instead of hooking a separate device up to change settings. I have mine set to 720P resolution for longer recording times but I've never had a need to use it. Might be more useful to the 'action cam' crowd than us.

Thanks again Phil.
As long as you are answering my questions why would I want to change the segments to 3, 5, or 10 minutes?

I think I read where the 32 gig card is good for four hours. Would that be runing 720P?

I don't think I got anything saying what size lens I have, but will go look at the ad again. Do you know if Amazon has the CPL lens?

Thanks again Phil as this is all new to me.

Been more than too busy the last few days so haven't had time to get back here. If you google "Mobius CPL" you'll get a lot of hits, from DIY to factory made ones. You can find a pic of the "A" lens version here: http://static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/2/5/5/1/8/a5857193-162-pic 14.jpg Note it has notches and fits close to flush with the case. The "B" lens is here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=25880644&postcount=1984 Note the depth of the large diameter part. The "C" lens is longer there but has the same outside diameter so one size CPL fits both. A comparison of "C" and "C2" is here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=32088775&postcount=15943 Bungus made his own CPL for the "A" lens here: https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threa...er-bottle-cap-and-clipon-sunglass-lens.11797/

IIRC it's 4 hours+ for the 32GB card @1080P, don't know about 720P. I've gone to a 64GB Transcend Class 10, can't remember the price but got it from Amazon. ~8 hours @1080P is enough for me and that leaves me the 32GB card it replaces as extra. Nice to have that in case a card dies unexpectedly which does sometimes happen. Someone has a 128GB card working but the prices deter me there. Cards do wear out and I think the 64GB is the best value for a large card with a 32GB best for a smaller one. Anything less seems just too small to me, YMMV. Another aspect is that a smaller card will wear out faster than a larger one all other things being equal.

Segment size is a matter of preference, most folks like 5 mins or 3 mins. Longer time makes for fewer files to review if you're looking for something specific, that's all.
