Hey guys,

I want to install my dashcam battery B-130X via the fuse box of my car T-Roc. If I'm correct, I read that it is best to use the cigarette fuse. But the T-Roc is 20V. I can't see anywhere in the manual what the max volt is to connect. I did get fuse splitters with of 5v, 10v and 20v fuse.

I assume it is possible but I'm asking anyway. I don't want the car to catch fire.

Thanks in advance

The fuse splitters that come with the B-130X are all 20a fuses, so if you're connecting to a 20a fuses on vehicle then that's perfect.

It actually runs at a maximum 9a, it just depends what else you plan on running off the cigarette lighter socket

I have my B-130X connected to a front cigarette lighter socket, but on my vehicle it's a 15a fuse on the fusebox.

It works perfectly fine as I just use that port for charging phones which is usually about 3a.
So the maximum load on the socket is about 12a - which is below the 15a main use and below the 20a fuses of the BlackVue splitter.

I've only ever had the fuse blow once, when I used a fast charging tyre air pump, which also ran at 9a.
So when both the dashcam battery and the air compressor were run at the same time on the front cigarette lighter, it blue a fuse and the devices simply turned off.
It doesn't burn down the car - that's the point of the fuse - it's an overload protection.

I just replaced the fuse and now I know to use the air compressor in one of the rear cigarette lighter ports in future.
