Help with understanding how to hard wire a dash cam, my car has no 12V port at the front

Hello - newbie here. I have a car with no 12V port at the front. There is a USB and USB C port. Can you buy dashcams that have either USB or USB C end so I can use one in my car? I have used a dashcam in the past and successfully threaded the wire behind everything, but I don't know where to start. Any and all help very greatly appreciated. 🙂

My Viofo VS-1 uses USB-C. I bet a lot of them do now. I did have to buy a plug adapter because the wire that Viofo supplies has a USB plug on on end and USB-C on the other, and my car has USB-C only.

Jeep Compass. I know you can buy one custom made for this type of vehicle, but I don't want that. I want one I can install and remove myself should we change cars. Thanks!
