Depends on the camera.. but obviously when/if there is no power to the camera parking mode can not operate. Switched power is used to tell the camera when to go into parking mode.. on some cameras.

This does help. The Nextbase hardwire kit is only 2-wire, so if you would like it to power on when the car is off, then you will need to connect to constant power, and not switched/ACC. The Nextbase hardwire kit does have voltage monitoring so it should not kill your car battery.
