Nextbase 412GW
Hi All

Just joined this site with hope that someone out there can help.
I have a Nextbase 412GW which has a 32GB scandisk card in it, which i have read on here is not the best to have which is more then likely the reason i have trouble turning it off!
So i am going to buy a new memory card and would like to move up to a 64GB card and some where i remember reading (well i think that i read it but with my alzheimer am never two sure about it) that the 412GW will not work with this is this true?
also what kind of card is best i have looked at this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/B00C18I3FS
many thanks

John

Hello John,

You can use up to 128Gb.

Transcend work OK, San Disk, Lexar, Kingston brand isn't necessarily important just that its a good quality SD card. Any big name brand should be fine.

What version of firmware is on the Dash Cam?

In order to check what version of firmware you're using;
please stop the camera recording then press menu twice,
scroll down to "system info" or "version" then press OK,
a black screen should pop up with a long text with R.. at the end.
Please tell me what numbers are after the R.

hi
the number is 412GW-R7.5

Hope this helps a bit new to this

Many thanks

John

Hello John,

You'll need to update the firmware to 12.4 to have the larger capacity SD card.

It looks like the firmware needs updating on your unit, this can be done by clicking the link below.
