Take some cheap automotive speaker cable.
The speaker cable i have for my home audio is thicker than a garden hose, and some of the cable i have from car installs is 1/3 thinner then a garden hose. 😀
This is a great projekt to do with your kids, just be carefull with a 9 volt battery you have a chance of burning down your house 😱
