I use my GoPro HERO3 as a dashcam

I had spare GoPro HERO3 so I used it as a dashcam.
I mounted it with Suction Cup Mount on the windscreen.

I record in 1080p 30fps and it is possible to record about 3 hours.

Disadvantage is that you must always turn the camera ON and OFF + footage during night is not good.

Agreed with KamKar1. I would rather have a cam then no cam. Also what you mention is not a disadvantage at all. As long as you are not playing with it while driving, then it's all good.

I use it regularly but I need to turn it on every time.
Why should I play with it during my driving?
