Install an auxiliary battery for dash cam

Bought a cheap($80) lifepo4 30Ah battery just to power the VIOFO mini. From testing it the battery last a whole week in parking mode before it need to be charged again.

Hehe nice.

If i was to get a sudden need for long duration parking guard, then for sure a battery to just run dashcamera would be the path i went down.

I wired the battery to the 12-volt socket in the trunk with that ebay adapter. Then, I wired an 18 gauge positive line all the way behind the front dash where all your fuses would be so the line can be connected to the small 6-way fuse box. That way you can connect the hardwire kit 12v line to it.
