IR-Led GS1000 for what?

today i get my gs1000 (orange menu), which has the 4 ir-led in frontcover.

if i make test with this, they are working only 10-15cm (4-6 inch).

over this distance the video ist black in black.

is it normal?

for what are this ir-leds, if they work only for this short distance?

Hi,

These LEDs are just a gimmick. They are not powerful enough to make a difference in video performance and can sometimes reduce performance by causing glare. I would just turn them off.
