Is it the camera or the card?

I've had the Panorama S and Transcend 32 for about a week with no problem. Today after an experience with a rough road, it seems that the camera created an "event" and from that moment it became stuck on the LCD opening screen and wouldn't return to normal recording mode. I tried shutting power off, but when restoring power, back to the opening screen. It seems to try moving on to record, but no luck. Thoughts?

Pull the card out and format in your PC and see how it goes, does sound like a card issue
