BlackVue DR900S-2CH, Vantrue N2X, Vantrue S1 Pro Max
Well, after 6 years my BlackVue DR900S-2CH is essentially worthless. It seems that if the temperature is is under 35 degrees it'll fire up and work, if it's over that it forget it. I dunno, but in my opinion for $500.00 one would have hoped it would have lasted longer.
Now my Vantrue Sonnet (S1) Pro Max works like a champ no matter what the temperature. Thanks again Vantrue.

Disclaimer on comparison: Vantrue sent me the dashcam for free testing. I like that camera so much I've recommended it to half a dozen of my friends. In the end I think some BlackVue Dash Cams are over-priced and with so many others like Vantrue to choose from on the market just being expensive does not mean the best.

Hello there, you can try reflowing/reballing the main chip. I’ve successfully revived three units this way (all of them also needed a focus adjustment, which was quite common for these dashcams caused by "higher" temps). I also applied a thermal pad between the chip and the shield, which should help cool it down a bit during the summer. 😉
